Photographer Thomas Effinger – About Me

“To photograph is to hold one’s breath, when all faculties converge to capture fleeting reality.
It′s at that precise moment that mastering an image becomes a great physical and intellectual joy.”

Henri Cartier-Bresson

From my first steps with a Kodak Instamatic in my childhood to professional equipment today, from “try and error” to professional conceptual photography, it was a long but very interesting and instructive path that still enriches my life and gives me – and hopefully also my customers – a lot of pleasure!
When I was a student on my first other trips, I began to take photos more systematically, and since then the enthusiasm for capturing moments and moods has persisted. My curiosity and desire for new challenges have always opened up new photographic areas for me.

I have always been a very “visual” and enthusiastic person, with a penchant for perfectionism and a sense for aesthetics, space and structures. This, together with the necessary patience to wait for the right moment, helps me to inspire my customers and to motivate me again and again.
Today my photographic portfolio is very diverse. My photographic focus is, among other things, event photography, architectural photography and photo reportage.
